You can process both swiped and keyed transactions within the mobile payment app. (To swipe transactions, a card reader must be configured. See Peripheral Help) Transactions are automatically batched by CHARGE Anywhere every day and sent to your processor for funding.
Sale
- To initiate a transaction tap on QuickSale.
- Select the tender (Credit, Debit, EBT Foodstamp.
- Enter the amount and additional prompts if configured.
- Click Submit.
- Insert the card in the EMV reader or tap card for a contactless transaction (card must be NFC enabled)
- Confirmation screen will pop-up, tap on yes to continue with transaction.
- The transaction will process within 3-5 seconds and display/print the transaction response.
Auth Only
An auth only transaction will only issue a hold on the customer's card until it is forced (captured). Only when it is forced, will you be funded for the transaction.
- To initiate an authorization tap on Transactions.
- Tap on Auth Only.
- Enter the amount and additional prompts if configured.
- Click Submit.
- Insert the card in the EMV reader or tap card for a contactless transaction (card must be NFC enabled)
- Confirmation screen will pop-up, tap on yes to continue with transaction.
- The transaction will process within 3-5 seconds and display/print the transaction response.
- If approved, the approval code will be needed to perform a manual Force. (See instructions for Force below)
Force (Capture)
A force will claim a pending authorization from a previously processed Auth Only or Voice Authorized transaction. You will need the approval code issued during that transaction in order to manually force.
Tip: If the previous Auth Only was run from the QuickSale app, it can be easily forced via Logs > Auth Only Transactions or Logs > Untipped Transactions (if Restaurant industry type is set on the account)
- Tap on Transactions
- Tap on Force
- Enter the approval code and amount
- Tap on Submit
- If you have the card insert the card in EMV reader
- If you do not have the card present, tap on Manual located on the right bottom corner
- Enter information on the screen (Card number, expiration date and amount are values required) then tap on Submit
- Confirmation screen will pop-up tap on Yes
- The transaction will process within 3-5 seconds and display/print the transaction response
Return
A return will initiate a credit to a customer's credit card.
- To initiate an Return tap on Transactions.
- Tap on Return.
- Enter the amount and additional prompts (if configured).
- Click Submit.
- Insert the card in the EMV reader or tap card for a contactless transaction (card must be NFC enabled)
- Confirmation screen will pop-up, tap on yes to continue with transaction.
- The transaction will process within 3-5 seconds and display/print the transaction response.
Manual Return
- To process a manual refund from the main screen of QuickSale tap on Logs
- Tap on Archives
- Navigate through the archives and locate the transaction to be returned
- Once the transaction has been located tap on it and the transaction details will display
- Tap on actions (3 dots) located on upper right corner of the screen
- Tap on Return transaction
- Tap on Return if refunding the whole amount or enter amount to refund and tap on Return if doing a partial refund.
