1. Reboot QuickBooks
1a) Close QuickBooks. Open a task manager and click on the Processes tab. Click on ‘Image Name’ to sort alphabetically and look for ‘ChargeAnywhereWrapper.exe’ and ‘QBW32.exe’.
- If either process was found, highlight and click end process.
1b) Open QuickBooks and log in as admin user. CHARGEAnywhereWrapper should be listed in the processes tab of the task manager. If not, check application certificate.
2. Check application certificate
2a) Place the company file into Single User Mode by going to File > Switch to Single User Mode. (If the company file is already in Single User Mode, you will see Switch to Multi User Mode instead.)
2b) Go to Edit > Preferences > Integrated Applications. Click on the Company Preferences tab on the right. Does CHARGE Anywhere show up on the list?
- If not, you will need to reinstall the payment application.
2c) Ensure that "Don't allow any applications to access the company file" is NOT selected. Ensure that there is a check mark to the left of CHARGE Anywhere under 'Allow Access' column.
2d) Highlight CHARGE Anywhere and click Properties. Make sure the first and last options are selected: “Allow this application to read and modify the company file” and “Allow this application to access social security numbers, customer credit card information, and other personal data.” Click Ok.
- If the application certificate was not properly configured, correct the certificate and reboot QuickBooks. CHARGEAnywhereWrapper should be listed in the processes tab of the task manager. If not, try SDKTestPlus.
3. SDKTestPlus
3a. Close QuickBooks. Open a task manager and click on the processes tab. Click on image name to sort alphabetically and look for ‘ChargeAnywhereWrapper.exe’ and ‘QBW32.exe’. Highlight and end each process if found.
3b. Go to C Drive > Payment Gateway > Log. Open the most recent error log.
3c. Perform a search for "supported".
