                                    Bad Card Read

A bad card read generally occurs if the card was not swiped in a recognizable manner. Retry swiping the card. Cleaning the card and the card reader may help as well.

If error persists, it is also possible that QuickSale for Windows is not set up to read the specific track data that the card has.

To change which track(s) are being read:

1. Right click the CHARGE Anywhere icon in the notification section of your taskbarto view the QuickSale for Windows menu. Select Setup.
2. Select Synchronization Options and set the Swipe Option to read Track 1 and 2.
3. Press Ok to the Setup Menu and retry swipe. If error persists, you must key the transaction. See QuickSale (Keyed).
