'''Processing a Sale:''' See [[QuickSale (Swipe/Chip)]] or [[QuickSale (Keyed)]]. All approved sales are automatically batched by CHARGE Anywhere at the end of the business day and sent to your processor for funding.

'''Processing a Void:''' A transaction can only be voided if the batch has not been closed yet (generally the same day of the transaction). Voiding a transaction will remove the transaction from the batch. Depending on the processor and the bank, a hold may remain on the customer's card for a few business days before the hold is released. '''First Data Rapid Connect''' customers will only be able to process a Void within 25 minutes of the initial sale. After this time has elapsed a Return must be processed instead.

QSW Setup Wizard - Screen by screen instructions for the Setup Wizard

QSW Log In - After installation, the QuickSale for Windows desktop icon will initiate a log in screen.

Peripheral Help - Get help configuring cardreaders, pinpads, signature capture devices, etc

Processing Transactions

Processing a Sale: See QuickSale (Swipe/Chip) or QuickSale (Keyed). All approved sales are automatically batched by CHARGE Anywhere at the end of the business day and sent to your processor for funding.

Processing a Void: A transaction can only be voided if the batch has not been closed yet (generally the same day of the transaction). Voiding a transaction will remove the transaction from the batch. Depending on the processor and the bank, a hold may remain on the customer's card for a few business days before the hold is released. First Data Rapid Connect customers will only be able to process a Void within 25 minutes of the initial sale. After this time has elapsed a Return must be processed instead.

Processing a Return: A return will initiate a credit to a customer's credit card. You can perform a "Return by Transaction" if you have processed a sale on that credit card prior. If not, you can perform a "Manual Return"

Processing an Auth Only: An auth only transaction is a presale authorization to verify funds are available. The auth only will issue a hold on the customer's card until it is forced (captured). Only when it is forced, will you be funded for the transaction.

Processing a Force(Capture): You can only force a previous Auth Only transaction. A force will claim the pending authorization so that it may be batched for funding.

QuickSale™ for Windows® Menu Options

Once QSW is installed, a QuickSale for Windows icon will be hosted on your desktop. The desktop icon will initate a log in screen. Once you are logged in, the active software will reside in the notification section of your desktop. All of the QuickSale for Windows menu options are available by right clicking the CHARGE Anywhere icon in the notification section of your taskbar.

QuickSale

QuickSale

A QuickSale can be used to process all credit card transaction types, i.e., sales, voids, returns, auth only, and force(capture).

By default, the transaction type of a QuickSale is a sale. You can change the transaction type using a dropdown menu to process a void, return, auth only, or force. There are two ways a QuickSale can be initiated.

QuickSale (Swipe/Chip): If you have a compatible card swiper or chip reader connected and configured with CHARGE Anywhere, you can swipe or insert a card to initiate a QuickSale (See Peripheral Help). Swiped and Chip transactions are generally more secure and may qualify you for a better transaction rate with your processor. Upon successful swipe or insert, a QuickSale will automatically appear with the necessary card information. You will need to enter an amount and press Send. The transaction will process within 3-5 seconds and display or print the transaction response.

QuickSale (Keyed): If you are unable to swipe or insert a card, you can key a transaction by manually initiating a QuickSale. You will need to double click the CHARGE Anywhere icon in the notification section of your taskbar. Enter all card information and transaction amount and press Send. (You may also click Select Customer to use a customer from the Customer Database). The transaction will process within 3-5 seconds and display or print the transaction response.
